My experience in this place was terrible. Due to Dr Kevin Butler's heartlessness and failure to recognize ear mites, my cat is now deaf and almost died. I then took him to Dr Ben Bernandez at Central Maui Animal Clinic who saved his life with the proper treatment. If you love your pet, stay away from Makawao Veterinary Clinic. In my opinion Dr Butler couldn't care less about animals and just wants your money. Someone like that has no business being a vet.
Someone at my bank told me that they charge you $5 per week if you owe even $1 on your bill. His impression was the same as mine, that all they want is your money and they will charge you for all kinds of expensive tests that are not needed. Dr Butler tried to tell me my cat's kidneys were failing and I needed $150 worth of blood tests. Total BS.
